Ulli VaDa/OnioN Vada



4 cups thinly sliced onions
1 1/2 cups besan
1/2 cup rice flour
1 inch piece of ginger grated
2-3 green chillies chopped
a sprig of curryleaves
salt to taste
pinch of baking soda
oil for frying
Method:
Take the onions in a large bowl and squeeze well using hands. 
Then add all other ingredients except oil and stir well using hands.
 Heat the oil in a shallow pan . 
Take some of the onions mixture and make a small ball in your palms. 
Flatten it lightly and drop into the oil. Fry in medium heat till it is golden.
Flip and fry the other sides also.
